Dedicated Volunteers Needed!

NAMI Anchorage is a peer-run organization.  We have no paid staff.  We run on an entirely volunteer basis.  There are small monthly stipends for certain lead volunteer positions. NAMI Anchorage members contribute hundreds of volunteer hours every month.  We volunteer because we know our efforts make a difference in our lives and the lives of others affected by mental illness. Won't you join us in doing something that matters to you and others?  We need volunteers for the following activities.  Training will be provided as needed.

  • Literature distribution
  • Newsletter writting and editing
  • Drop-in hours
  • Maintaining meeting space
  • Hosting social events
  • Coordinating monthly education meeting
  • Community outreach
  • Facilitating group meets

Maybe you have a special talent or activity NAMI Anchorage would like to add?

Any interested person contact Francine

at 907-272-0227 or

at fharbour@nami.org.
