NAMI SC Training at White Oak
If you have benefited from a NAMI program and are ready, willing, and able to give back to others through NAMI, we need you!
NAMI South Carolina’s annual training for program leaders and support group facilitators will be in November, 2012 at the White Oak Conference Center in Winnsboro. Each potential trainee will be interviewed to gauge whether they are prepared to complete the training course. Please contact Mandy Medlock at 803-206-2916 or at mandy.midcarolina@gmail.com.

Why is support important?
Feelings of isolation can be immobilizing. Support can give relief from isolation while giving the opportunity to not only associate within a group, but possibly form meaningful, lasting, individual friendships.
Sharing experiences can lead to increased self-awareness, self-esteem and self confidence.
Groups provide great opportunities for learning new strategies and options for dealing with the day-to-day rigors of living with any mental illness.
Support can keep us focused on the here and now, while moving us forward with our recovery.
NAMI Mid-Carolina offers NAMI Connection support groups and Family support groups
