Support Group Meetings

  • Peer Support

Our Chardon Peer Support Group meetings (for persons with a mental illness)are held on the first Thursday of each month. We meet at 7:00 p.m. at the Geauga Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services, 13244 Ravenna Rd. (Rt. 44 - across from Geauga Hospital), Chardon OH, 44024.

  • All Are Welcome at our Middlefield Support meetings.

Our Middlefield Support Group meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Middlefield Public Library, 16167 E. High St., Middlefield, Ohio 44062 From 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

  • Friends and Family Support Group

Our Chesterland Family and Friends Support Group will meet on the second Thursday of each month. This group meets at the West Geauga Library on rt 306 south of rt 322 in Chesterland OH 44026 on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.


Educational Speaker Meetings

On the third Thursday of a quarterly month (January, March, June, September) we invite a speaker to address our group on mental health topics.  We usually meet at 6:30 p.m. at: The Geauga Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services, 13244 Ravenna Rd. (Rt. 44 - across from Geauga Hospital), Chardon OH, 44024. Check the top of this page for details.

Membership Meetings

Our membership meetings are business meetings open to the public and are held on the 4th Thursday of each month at: The Geauga Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services, 13244 Ravenna Rd. (Rt. 44 - across from Geauga Hospital), Chardon OH, 44024.


FAMILY-TO-FAMILY Classes

We are making plans for our next sessions of Family to Family. We will most likely meet on 12 Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the West Geauga Library, Chesterland.  This class offers education and support to family members and friends who have a loved one diagnosed with a mental condition. The course and all materials are free. Registration is required. Call 440-286-NAMI(6264) or email  lreed@namigeauga.org  if you would like to be added to our fall class.

NAMI BASICS Classes

NAMI Basics classes are for parents of children diagnosed with a mental disorder, including (but not restricted to) ADD and ADHD. Classes are held for 6 weeks at the Middlefield Library (on rt 87 east of rt 608). We will meet from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for six Mondays.

NAMI Basics classes are  open to all who have a child struggling with a mental/emotional illness.  440-286-NAMI(6264) or email  lreed@namigeauga.org  if you would ike to be added to our next class. Classes fill fast.

 PEER-TO-PEER Classes

Peer to Peer classes are for persons diagnosed with a mental disorder. Two hour classes are held for 10 weeks on Saturdays at 13244 Ravenna Rd. Chardon OH. We are currently planning our fall class. Peer to Peer classes offer information and support to those experiencing mental/emotional illness.  Call 440-286-NAMI(6264) or email  lreed@namigeauga.org if you would ike to be added to our next class.
