Part-time, 25 hours a week, $18 an hour to start, no benefits.
Job responsibilities will include: grant writing, program coordination, assisting with a quarterly newsletter, telephone-help line, and public speaking. Some evening hours.

Monies raised will be used to fund NAMI's programs in Maryland. NAMI Howard County will receive 55% of funds raised by walkers who designate Howard County in the Designate NAMI Affiliate section when registering. There is no walker registration fee. The distance of the walk is approximately 1.5 miles.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
NAMI Howard County is currently looking for a co-coordinator of the SUNDAY SUPPERS program. Sunday Suppers is a social opportunity for adults living with mental illness. The gathering begins at 4 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month at the Florence Bain Senior Center. The role of the Sunday Suppers Coordinator is to ensure there is a host organization for the meal, facility for the meal, provide support and organization during the dinner, purchase all supplies provided by NAMI (paper products, drinks creamer, sugars, serving utensils, take home bags). The coordinator is also the point person at the event who troubleshoots any issues that arise and responds accordingly.
We are also in need of drivers to transport participants to and from the supper. Gas expenses will be reimbursed.
NAMI Howard County is looking for enthusiastic volunteers with fundraising experience to join its Fundraising Committee. Responsibilities include raising funds for NAMI through various special events; soliciting individual and corporate donors and strengthening local awareness of mental illness in the community.
