Dr. Norman Peterson received the 2013 Washington State Provider of the Year Award after NAMI of Clallam County nominated him! The award comes at the same time that Dr. Peterson retires from an illustrious career in the mental health field.
In July 2014, a Washington State law takes effect that allows courts and mental health professions to consider information from family and friends about patients who face involuntary commitment to a treatment facility. This is a victory forNAMI and others concerned about the safety and well-being of all involved! NAMI has been solidly behind this effort!
