EVENTS/ACTIVITIES:

  • Sunday-Saturday--books about mental illness in children and children's books about mental illness--display at Sara Hightower Library in Rome
  • Tuesday--National day of Prayer for Mental Illness Recovery and Understanding

    • 7:00-8:00 PM
    • First Presbyterian Church, 101 East 3rd Ave., Rome, GA 30161
    • Keynote speaker--Mr. Frank Berry, Commissioner of Georgia's Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disability
    • Candlelight Service--Seven individuals from various areas in our community will each light a candle
  • Thursday--Send Stigma To The Sky, balloon release at noon in front of the City Auditorium, 601 Broad Street, Rome

Six-week course for adults with a child under 18 with emotional/behavior issues.

Scheduled to begin on Oct. 11 from 9:30 - 11:00.

Classes will be held at the NAMI Rome Education Center

1 Woodbine Ave.  (on grounds of Highland Rivers Crisis Stabilization Unit)
