NEW SUPPORT GROUPS IN NORWALK AND GREENWICH

NAMI Stamford/Greenwich is offering two new Support Groups for families & friends who have a loved one with behavioral health issues. See complete Support Group Schedule by clicking on the "Support Groups" tab on the menu bar on the left. 

NORWALK

When: First Tuesday of every month, starting on September 4, 2012

Time: 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Location: Norwalk Hospital, CP2 Conference Room, 34 Maple Street, Norwalk,CT 06850

When: Third Thursday of each month, starting on October 18, 2012

NAMI-CAN Child and Adolescent Network Support Group - A support group for parents and primary caregivers of children with behavioral and emotional issues.

HOUSING AND CONTINUITY OF CARE by Peter Case. The Connecticut mental health system is not doing a good job of providing continuity of care for psychiatric patients discharged from hospitals. That was the assessment of James McCreath, Ph.D., President and CEO of St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Services in Westport who spoke at NAMI Fairfield’s March 3rd speaker meeting.

ANY QUESTIONS FOR THE PHARMACIST? by Diane Frost. Charles F. Caley, Pharm.D., addressed questions from audience members in the Brace Professor Auditorium at the Tully  Health  Center in Stamfordon March 17th. He presented an educational discussion on medications prescribed for serious mental illnesses.
