Family-to-Family will be offered Saturdays!

The latest Family-to-Family 12 week course is set to commence on Saturday, January 9th from 9am-11:30am, here at the NAMI Greater Milwaukee office, 3732 W. Wisconsin Ave.  Hopefully a Saturday morning class will  make transportation easier as opposed to a week night class...especially with snow just around the corner!

Limited spots are still available, and it's totally free!  Contact Andrea at 414-344-0447 orandreak@namigrm.org

MONTHLY EDUCATION MEETING

We have a Guest Speaker the last Monday of every month (except December) who discusses a different topic of interest concerning mental health.  The meeting takes place at the NAMI Greater Milwaukee office, 3732 W. Wisconsin Ave.  Entrance off the parking lot (in rear).

Please join us on Monday, November 30th from 6-8pm for a screening and discussion of the eye-opening public television program "MINDS ON THE EDGE: Facing Mental Illness".  The program effectively illuminates challenging ethical issues as well as systemic flaws in program and policy design, service coordination, and resource allocation. These problems are contributing to a mental health system that is widely acknowledged to be broken. MINDS ON THE EDGE also provides a glimpse of innovative solutions that are currently being implemented across the country. These innovations, many shaped by the guidance and expertise of people with mental illness, offer promising solutions and hopeful direction to transform the mental health system.

To read more about this program visit:  www.mindsontheedge.org

Let us know if you would like to add that to the Monthly Education meeting rotation, or have any topics you would be interested in hearing about!
