NAMI PA, Main Line is a grassroots, nonprofit organization of persons with mental illness, their families and friends, dedicated to improving the quality of life of all those affected by mental illness through support, advocacy and education.

Led by Edie Mannion, LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), co-founder and manager of the Training and Education Center at Mental Health Association of Southeastern PA since 1985, a private therapist/consultant specializing in serious mental health disorders, and a family member with lived experience. Friendship Group Two Saturday afternoons a month
Bryn Mawr
The Friendship Group is a congenial group for people who have a mental illness and are stable. The group offers support, friendship with peers and discussions about topics of mutual interest. To be eligible, you must be under care with your mental health provider and an interview is required. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Carol Carlen at 610-649-6844.

These crisis lines provide access to staff who are specifically trained for dealing with mental health crises and may provide better help and reduced risk of arrest. Someone is available 24/7 to assess the situation, arrange for an in-person evaluation, and/or make referrals as needed
