YOU ARE NOT ALONE. WE UNDERSTAND. THERE IS HOPE. WE CAN HELP.

 Welcome

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization and operates at the national, state, and local level.  We, the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Prince George's County (NAMI-PG), are the local affiliate and operate as the "County's Voice on Mental Illness."

NAMI-PG is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to serving the needs of individuals with mental illness and their families.  We provide support, resources, education, and advocacy to improve the quality of life for many in our community who are affected by severe mental illnesses including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, mood disorders, co-occurring mental and substance use disorders, and others.  Our programs, workshops, classes, and services are free to residents of Prince George's County.

Our Core Values

Hope, understanding, respect, and encouragement

Our Mission

Build better lives for persons and their families who are living with mental illness

Our Goals/Objectives

Empower persons with mental illness and their families through support, education, and advocacy that will transform their lives.  Increase awareness in the community about the many types of mental illness (and related effects) and the need for quality, accessible treatment and rehabilitative services.  Develop community partnerships and advocate for supported employment, affordable and quality housing, and educational and training opportunities for the mentally disabled living in our county.
