NAMI Kentucky Welcomes New Chief Executive Officer

Cathy Epperson has agreed to serve as Chief Executive Officer for NAMI Kentucky.  Cathy is uniquely qualified for this position. Having just retired after eleven years as CEO of Adanta Behavioral Health Services in Somerset, Kentucky, she has extensive administrative experience in the mental health field.  As a founding member of NAMI Somerset, former board member and treasurer of NAMI Kentucky, president of the Kentucky Association of Regional Programs and treasurer of the Kentucky Mental Health Coalition, Cathy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to support our mission.

Seasonal Affective Disorder

If you notice periods of depression that seem to accompany seasonal changes during the year, you may suffer from seasonal affective disorder (SAD). This condition is characterized by recurrent episodes of depression – usually in late fall and winter – alternating with periods of normal or high mood the rest of the year. For more information, click on related file below.
