Mental illness is everybody’s business!
“I need you - You need me” You don’t have to suffer alone.
I hope all is well with you and yours. As you know having a love one who has a mental illness can be very stressful. Sometimes you feel hopeless and alone with your struggle. I know - because my brother was stricken with a chronic mental illness in his young adult life. My mom (Josephine Chappell) started this affiliate almost 15 years ago and she will tell you NAMI helped save her life. We thank God for a support group where we can come and share our struggles with people who understands what we are going through. We educate ourselves about the illnesses and strengthen and encourage each other!
Bring your love one who suffers from a mental illness because there is a special Connections meeting designed just for them and facilitated by their peers on the same night and the same time! Call Eric 646-702-5765 for more information!
