NAMI National Alliance on Mental Illness Pennsylvania, Bucks County Chapter is a grassroots advocacy organization comprised of families, friends, professionals, and people with brain disorders (mental illness). We are dedicated to improving the lives of people who must cope with devastating brain disorders. Founded in 1983 by a small group of family members, NAMI PA Bucks County continues to grow and network in our community.

NAMI Family to Family Support Group in Doylestown WILL NOT be meeting on June 27, 2013

Regular meetings will resume on July 11, 2013 and will meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Doylestown Mennonite Church at 590 North Broad Street, Doylestown, PA 18901

Family members of persons with a serious brain disorder not only endure the initial shock of the illness, but then must face a challenging future learning to cope with the responsibility of caring for an ill relative.

The false information and stigma that surround brain disorders keeps many families from seeking the help, support, and information that they desperately need.

If you feel alone because of a serious mental illness in your family, NAMI can help. Members of Bucks County NAMI have had similar experiences. You will find reassuring support and understanding, as well as receive education about brain disorders, available treatments, and coping skills.
