  • The American Institute of Philanthropy (AIP), the nation's leading charity watchdog, awarded NAMI an A+ rating for its cost-effective charitable spending and fundraising practices.
  • NAMI was one of only 18 groups in the country receiving an A+ rating out of hundreds of non-profits.
  • NAMI-Metropolitan Baltimore, Inc. is an affiliate of NAMI and 82% of funds raised are used for direct programs and services.
  • All of NAMI-Metropolitan Baltimore's programs and services are volunteer-based.

In-Kind Donations: used cars; office supplies; technology; professional skills 

Donations for Special Purposes 

  • Honorary Gifts for any occasion (birthdays, weddings, retirement, other notable occasions): NAMI sends a card to the honoree notifying them of the gift while the donor receives a thank you/receipt.
  • Memorial Gifts(often in lieu of flowers): NAMI sends a card to the family of the deceased notifying them of the gift while a thank you/receipt is sent to the donor. Click here for special online donation page. 

Workplace Campaigns: Choose #5697 through your United Way, MD Combined, and/or City Charitable Campaign!

Employer Matching Gifts: Matching employee's gifts to NAMI: Check with your employer for forms!

Corporate Sponsorships: Ask your marketing office or charitable giving office if they give sponsorships for Annual Events. Ask them to support the Annual NAMI Gala and/or NAMIWalks! 

Donations of Stocks or Bonds: get tax benefits by donating appreciated stocks or bonds.
