Assemblyman Darrell Steinberg (retired) is awarded the prestigious Friend of the Family Award for championing and being the driving force behind the passage of Proposition 63 in California. Prop 63 calls for a one percent tax on California residents whose income is over $1 million, to be used for mental health programs and services in the state.
