Make Your Voice Heard—Register to Vote

With no single candidate assured of their party’s nomination, the twenty or more states that will vote on Super Tuesday (February 5th) and in subsequent primary elections, are gaining in importance in the 2008 presidential race.

Increasingly, communities of color are noted as a potential “swing vote” that could make a difference—particularly in states like New Mexico, Florida and Colorado. Significantly, Latinos, African Americans, and Asian Americans have lower rates of voter registration than non-Hispanic whites. This is beginning to change and you can help.

Make a difference and vote. But you can’t vote without being registered (except in North Dakota).  Register to vote.  Encourage your friends and neighbors.  It’s easy. You can register online at a number of Web sites, including www.nami.org/election2008/vote. Click here for state by state voter registration details and deadlines.
