Opposition to Bush Administration Section 8 Reform Proposal

NAMI -- as part of the Consortium for Citizens With Disabilities (CCD) Housing Task Force (a coalition of national disability groups) -- has come out against a proposal to restructure the Section 8 housing voucher program. The legislation (S 771/HR 1999) would repeal important protections that ensure people living on SSI are able to access rental assistance. Click here for more information.
