  • We advocate for insurance parity and affordable access to health care services.
  • NAMI advocates for safe, affordable housing for those with mental illnesses.
  • We work with law enforcement and healthcare workers to improve interactions with consumers.
  • Your membership makes our “voice” louder as we speak with politicians and others about ways to improve the lives of those with mental illnesses.
  • The number of dues paying members we have can impact the amount of money we qualify for on various grants.

  • Provide support groups that help countless family members and consumers;
  • Provide educational programs that provide insight and coping strategies for individuals who have mental illness and their support networks;
  • Allow us to present Crisis Intervention Training to police officers, deputies, social workers, counselors and others;
  • Keep the office stocked with supplies, print the many pamphlets, flyers and mailings that we send out.
