Work directly with students, school staff, and families. Provide pre-employment training and assistance, job placement, on-the-job training and follow-along services to insure long-term success Community Transition Program: same services as High School Transition Program, provided to clients at community mental health programs to enable them to make the transition to independent living and successful employment. Corporate Outreach Program: established to open the door to new jobs in the area’s larger businesses and corporations. Recovery International Putnam Chapter Recovery International is often called the best secret in mental health. Founded by Dr. Abraham Low a Neuropsychiatrist at the University of Illinois at Chicago, this peer run cognitive behavioral self help group helps people manage feelings, impulses, fears and anger that impair the ability to lead a normal life. The Putnam Chapter meeting takes place every Monday morning from 10 AM till 12 PM at Putnam Independent Living Services (PILS)1961 Route 6, 2nd floor (entrance on side of building-building is fully accessible)Carmel, New York 10512.Recovery International does not charge a fee however a voluntary free will offering is taken up at each meeting with a suggested donation of $5.
