WONDERLAND HAS GONE TO NEVERLAND!A great victory for NAMI StigmaBusters and the Mental Health Coalition Against Stigma in Hollywood brought together and led by NAMI. We let the world of television know that TV producers and writers cannot depicts persons with mental illnesses as monsters! With ratings falling and sponsors withdrawing their ads, ABC made the final decision to put Wonderland on indefinite hiatus. NAMI appreciates and commends the terrific work of dedicated StigmaBusters who helped make this happen. We ask now that you take the final step: Thank the commercial sponsors for withdrawing their advertisements. Please write to the sponsors who responded to your messages and removed their support for this program that reinforced ignorance and stigma toward persons with mental illness.
