Tribute Giving

Gifts that Remember and Honor

Tribute gifts can be a deeply gratifying and personal way to recognize someone who has touched your life in a meaningful way and provides financial support that helps NAMI create a vision of a better future for people affected by mental illness.

NAMI offers two types of gifts to help you pay tribute:

Example from the Online Donation Form

Gifts in Memory

The tragedy of losing a loved one is difficult, but many families and friends find comfort in remembering the life of those they have lost through a gift to NAMI. Your memorial gift to NAMI is a personal remembrance that recognizes the life of a friend or loved one and offers the gift of help and hope for the future.

In addition to making a gift, you can also create a fundraising page and invite others to make a memorial donation. Fundraising pages are searchable.

I want to:

  • Make a memorial gift online, by mail or on the phone.  At your request, NAMI will promptly send a letter to the family notifying them of your thoughtful gift. The amount of your gift will not be disclosed.
  • Create a memorial fundraising pages. Follows the easy step-by-step instructions to set up a page specifically dedicated to the memorialized. For further assistance, please email Taylor Rhodes or call (703) 516-7970.

Gifts in Honor

Show the special people in your life the important role they play by making a gift in their honor. You can honor a friend, family member, colleague, neighbor or coworker on special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, birth/adoption, marriage or other important milestone.

A donation to NAMI is a thoughtful way to honor someone whose life has been impacted by mental illness. Your honorarium gift to NAMI honors a friend or loved one, and offers the gift of hope for the future.

In addition to making a gift, you can also create a fundraising page and invite others to make an honorary donation. Fundraising pages are searchable.
