Upcoming Events June 19, 2013 CIT: Sensitivity Training for the Police John Shorter, coordinator, CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) Project Confrontations between the police and people with mental illness can sometimes spiral out of control with tragic consequences. Learn about the 40 hours of special crisis intervention training local police forces have received from NAMI Queens/Nassau, thanks to a grant from the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock. The meeting starts at 7:30 PM in Sloman Auditorium at The Zucker Hillside Hospital, 266th Street & 76th Avenue, Glen Oaks, NY. The Caring & Sharing group meets at 6:00 PM.
