Run for Recovery and Help Raise Funds for Mental Illness
Join the Laitmans in their Second Annual Team Daniel 5K walk/run at Bar Beach in Port Washington.. Team Daniel: Running For Recovery from Mental Illness is a 501 (c) 3 that is devoted to supporting organizations that make the lives of those affected by mental illness better. Their mission is the best therapy now and better treatments in the future. They believe in running, relationships, research and ultimately in devoting their resources to achieve robust recovery.
WHEN: Sunday, Nov. 9 at 9AM
WHERE: North Hempstead Beach Park (Bar Beach), Port Washington

This presentation covers a variety of recovery-based psychiatric rehabilitation programs. These programs are designed to help individuals achieve their goals and improve functioning in the community.
The meeting starts at 7:30 in Sloman Auditorium at The Zucker Hillside Hospital – 266th Street and 76th Avenue, Glen Oaks, NY. The Caring & Sharing support group meets beforehand at 6:00.
