NAMI Ventura County (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is an organization of family members and people living with a mental illness. Our mission is to provide Education, Support and Advocacy for everyone affected by these brain disorders.

INTEGRATED DUAL DIAGNOSIS TREATMENT
Dual diagnosis is a term used to describe people with mental illness who also have problems with drugs and/or alcohol. The relationship between the two is complex, creating special problems for families. The treatment of people with co-occurring substance abuse and mental illness is more complicated than the treatment of either condition alone.
How does substance abuse affect the brain?
Geoff Henderson has over 20 years of experience in the substance abuse and mental health services field, and is a dedicated advocate and leader in the human services industry. Mr. Henderson has managed and developed numerous treatment services for teens and adults, including: Residential, Outpatient, Day Rehab, Continuing Care, Recovery Maintenance, In-Custody, Assertive Community Case Management, Transitional Housing, Family and School-based Services. He currently serves as Regional Administrator for Telecare Corporate for all programs in the Ventura County area.
A Family Support Group is held at this location prior to the General Meeting,
All General Meetings are Free and Open to the Public
NAMI General Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month.
