House Passes Supportive Housing Legislation and Revisions to the ADA

September 18, 2008

Yesterday the House cleared two important bills to expand supportive housing for non-elderly adults with severe disabilities and restore protections under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).  Both bills passed the House unanimously.  The supportive housing bill (HR 5772) now moves to the Senate, while the ADA legislation now moves to the White House where the President is expected to sign it next week.
