One Mind's mission is to raise awareness of the role of spirituality in recovery, educate people about mental illness, erase stigma and create caring communities. The Role of Religion in the Well-being of Older Adults Living with SchizophreniaAccording to Psychiatric Services, a new study explores the impact of religion on the quality of life of older adults living with schizophrenia. The study findings suggest that religiousness may have a positive impact on the quality of life of older adults with schizophrenia, and it must be considered along with other therapeutically beneficial resources. The Spiritual Life and Bipolar DisorderIn a recent Beyond Blue blog entry, Therese Borchard discusses the sometimes murky distinction between spiritual enthusiasm and more intense religiosity that may be a symptom of bipolar mania.
