The US House of Representatives proclaimed July as this special month in 2008, aiming to improve access to mental health treatment and services through increased public awareness. Since then, many organizations have hosted a variety of events and activities in communities across the country each year.

Activity planning contest for NAMI state organizations and affiliatesNAMI state organizations and affiliates are encouraged to enter our National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month 2013 Activity Planning Contest by May 31. Three selected winners will receive cash prizes to support their plans. |
To help you prepare and celebrate, NAMI and the National Network to Eliminate Disparities in Behavioral Health (NNED) are coming together again this year to provide great national webinar series for interested individuals and organizations big and small.
