NAMI Lexington~ Our Mission ~ To assist Families, Caregivers and Individuals whose life experience includes living with a persistent mental illness. To help them acquire and use available supports and skills necessary to manage their symptoms and return to the community and find success, hope and meaning in the role and environment of their choice. Support Group Meetings: Our meetings are devoted to sharing family experiences and proving support to persons woth a mental illness, their family and friends and those in the community concerned with mental illness. Meetings on the 1st Sunday of the month may feature a guest speaker. Consumer/Family Support Groups: Every Sunday of the month. Directions: From I-75, take Newtown Pike South about 2 1/2 miles to the Eastern State Hospital entrance. Turn left (east) at the light. Turn right at the information booth.
