A message from the Team Captain:The Orange County NAMI organization has been of tremendous personal assistance to our family in terms of support and education.There is not another organization like it. We believe NAMI to be more than deserving for any funds that you may elect to put forth for its behalf. Your contributions will help NAMI to continue serving the mentally ill, and provide emotional support and education to their families throughout all of Orange County. Please become a part of the Walk for NAMI event this October 1st., 2005. We personally invite you to join our NAMI Walk Team- Families United With NAMI. There is no registration fee, and if you are not comfortable in raising money as a walker, then just walk along with us. You will meet new friends, and will help us to rid the stigma of mental illness. There are many different ways that you can lend support to this great organizations first 5K Walk, here in Orange County. For example, volunteers are needed on the day of the walk for setting things up. Please call the NAMI OC office at 714 544-8488 if you would like to help in any way. About NAMIWALKS:
Every journey begins with that first step. In 2009, thousands of concerned citizens in more than 79 communities across the nation will join NAMI and walk together to raise money and awareness about our country's need for a world-class treatment and recovery system for people with mental illness.
