Leslie Ann Bauer March 31, 1982 – December 26, 2010 Leslie was born March 31, 1982 in Mission Viejo, California to the loving parents of Ron and Sharon Bauer. Even as a young girl her personality was vibrant and apparent; bright, exuberant, funny, generous and loving. She enjoyed playing with animals, experiencing new food and cultures as well as entertaining friends and family. At the age of 3 Leslie became a big sister when Ryan was born. Leslie taught him practically everything he knows about life and always looked after him no matter what the situation. He always did and always will look up to her in admiration. In both Northern California and Ohio Leslie always found a way to be active. She competed in a variety of activities including soccer, diving, mountain biking, equestrian riding and cross country. She had a passion for academia and research, particularly in literature, history and art, which ultimately lead her to achieve a degree and graduate study experience from The Ohio State University in Anthropology as well as a research position at Akron’s Children Hospital. On December 26, 2010 at the age of 28, her mental illness took control and she took her own life in the comfort of Sharon and Leslie’s home in Aurora, Ohio. Leslie will be loved, missed and remembered forever. There is no more fear, there is only peace.
