After serving the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) as a volunteer, Martha Brick was hired as manager of the NAMI HelpLine, a toll free number which fields over 4,000 requests each month.
Brick’s previous position on Capitol Hill as supervisor/manager of the US Congressional Telephone Office was great training for her current position. In her capacity on the Hill, she managed 37 people on a switchboard which handled upwards of 35,000 calls a day, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
