Supported Employment

It is said that people who live with mental illness want the same things as everyone else: an apartment, a job, and a date on the weekend. Supported employment is one way to help people with disabilities get and keep that job. Supported employment contains many strategies for assisting people vocationally, ranging from assistance with job searching through job-coaching and negotiating accommodations with employers. Supported employment is a strategy that is used with a number of disabilities to assist people with getting and keeping employment.
