The National Catholic Partnership on Disability has established a council on mental illness to help the Catholic community reach out to those with mental illness and their families.

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota will offer more than 65 camps this summer for school-aged children who were affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. Of the one million people displaced by the 2005 hurricanes, an estimated 372,000 were school-aged children in kindergarten through 12th grade.
