Sarah O’Brien serves as the Program Director for National Alliance on Mental Illness’ (NAMI) Peer-to-Peer signature education program consisting of a 9-week course for people with mental illness taught by a team of three trained “Mentors” who are personally experienced at living well with mental illness. Prior to 2008, he served as the Program Director for NAMI’s In Our Own Voice program.
Prior to joining NAMI in 2005, Ms. O’Brien worked as the coordinator of consumer programs for her local affiliate, NAMI Montgomery County, in Maryland.
Ms. O’Brien received her BA from Goucher College in 2001.
