Graham Champion is the chairman of Public Strategies LLC, a consulting firm specializing in legislative affairs, political strategy and corporate risk management consulting.
Mr. Champion was the public finance officer at AmSouth on from 1992-96, and until 2006, served as senior vice president and manager of government affairs. After leaving AmSouth, he served in a consulting role with the bank on state and federal government affairs issues.
In addition to sitting on the NAMI National Board of Directors, Mr. Champion also sits on the Board of Directors of NAMI-Alabama and is president of The Clear View Inc., a drop-in center for individuals living with mental illness in Montgomery, Ala.
He has held leadership positions on the executive committee of Mississippians for Economic Progress, the business council of Alabama’s (BCA) ProgressPAC, chairman of the Children First Foundation Inc., the National Advisory Board for the Campaign for the Mind of America and the Board of Directors of the Alabama Civil Justice Reform Committee.
He is a past chairman of the government affairs council of the Financial Services Roundtable and the legislative liaison advisory committee of the American Bankers Association, the BCA Government Affairs Committee and a past member of the Fannie Mae National Advisory Council.
Mr. Champion holds a B.S degree in management from Auburn University.
