Program Coordinator, NAMI Oklahoma - Oklahoma City OK
The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all of the NAMI Signature programs as well as any other programs or activities that are assigned by the Executive Director in coordination with the Board of Directors.
Duties are as follows:
•Work with the Board of Directors through its Education, Affiliate, and other committees and members as appropriate to determine priorities and goals for implementation of the Signature programs throughout the state;
•Assist the affiliates and volunteers with the implementation of programs throughout the state;
•Schedule and facilitate teacher and facilitator trainings for the signature programs as needed throughout the state;
•Arrange for volunteers to attend teacher and facilitator Train-the-Trainer workshops when offered by NAMI to ensure that NAMI Oklahoma has a sufficient number of state trainers;
•Adhere to NAMI standards and guidelines in regard to program implementation and teacher and facilitator trainings;
•Submit program reports to NAMI as requested;
•Coordinate and supervise volunteers, interns, or other staff as appropriate;
•Monitor and approve program expenditures; ensuring that budget allocations are not overspent;
•Prepare periodic reports on program activities;
•Work and communicate closely with the Development Coordinator where program activities and development opportunities co-exist;
•Assist with major fund raising activities as needed; and
•Be available for public speaking to promote NAMI programs.
•Affiliation and active involvement in NAMI preferred. Experience with NAMI signature programs a plus
•Strong organizational and project management skills
•Excellent public relations and communication skills
