State Budgets at the Crossroads

The Power Point presentation and accompanying script (below) are helpful tools in undertanding state budget crises and their effects on mental health services.  Medicaid plays a key role in  the two issues, as it is a state-based program.  When state budgets are strained, Medicaid funding often is cut.  As such, services offered through Medicaid are minimized.  Medicaid-covered mental health services frequently suffer as a result of state budget crises.  This presentation and accompanying script offer details regarding this pressing problem.
