NAMI's microsite program is a do-it-yourself program that provides tools to your state or affiliate organization for developing and managing your own professional-quality Web site with a minimum of technical or design skills.
With a microsite, you get a professionally designed site template, pre-loaded navigation sections and a manageable way to share your organization's mission, events, contacts and other information to members and potential members. It also includes easy-to-use point-and-click software for creating your Web pages and, once you've built your site, NAMI National provides hosting for you. (View sample Microsites). Best of all, it's free.
If you (or someone in your organization) have basic computer skills such as being able to fill out an online form, send e-mails with attachments, and format documents in a word processing program, you have the basic skills you will need to build your microsite. And if you have an Internet connection, a Web browser and some time and patience to learn something new, you've got all you need to get started.
For more information about microsites, download the document below. If you are interested in setting up a microsite for your state affiliate, submit the information requested therein, and return it to the address/fax listed.
Once your request has been approved, you will receive a user's guide in the mail that walks you step-by-step through building and maintaining your microsite. Please allow 3 weeks between the time we receive your request and when your user guide arrives in the mail.
If you need additional information after reading the documentation, contact webmaster@nami.org.
