REMAX REAL ESTATE SUPPORTS PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS
NAMI wishes to make a correction in the list of commercial sponsors circulated for the premiere episode of Wonderland.
Headquartered in Colorado, Remax Real Estate has assured NAMI that it did not authorize any national advertising on ABC to sponsor Wonderland; nor did any of its local affiliates. In Washington, D.C., a local Remax affiliate did purchase advertising time for a "newsbreak," which the local ABC station on its own used to fill advertising time around Wonderland. It was that unauthorized broadcast of a Remax commercial that NAMI monitored and reported.
NAMI regrets any inconvenience to Remax, especially because, according to their spokesman, the company takes pride in hiring people with disabilities, including mental illnesses. We are pleased to make the correction.
NAMI would like to recognize and thank the members of the coalition for their cooperation and support.
