Capitol Success – State Public Policy Initiatives

Medicaid is the primary game in 2003 for NAMI’s Advocacy efforts.  You will find information and “how tos” for NAMI state organizations to step forward and take the lead in influencing critical decisions in this area.  Methods for engaging consumers and diverse leaders in the advocacy arena will be addressed as well as strategies for effectively persuading policy makers.  The workshop series will also provide background and strategy on other NAMI policy concerns.  Included also are special presentations on criminalization and children’s services.
