On March 3,  Secretary Anthony J. Principi the appointment of a chairman and 14 members to the independent CARES (Capital Asset Realignment for Enhanced Services) Commission.  The commission will play a critical objective role in assessing proposed CARES initiatives that address the future health care needs of veterans, and how and where the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) can best provide those services.  See Press Release.
