This week, the House is moving forward on a FY 2008 spending bill for mental health research and services. The draft spending bill includes funding that is higher than the President’s proposed budget for FY 2008. Because the President requested lower funding levels, he is threatening to veto a number of spending bills. A veto would reduce funding levels for important mental health programs!
