Medicaid and Home-Based Services for Children

The NAMI Child and Adolescent Action Center held its monthly teleconference with NAMI Medical Director, Dr. Ken Duckworth, on July 21, 2006. The National Disability Rights Network talked with participants about how NAMI organizations around the country can work collaboratively and effectively with their state-based protection and advocacy (P&A) organizations in advocating for change and pursuing litigation strategies.  They focused on recent Medicaid decisions related to children’s mental health services and how such decisions can help children receive important home-based services.
