I have Bipolar Disorder with anxiety disorder. I don't think I will be able to work again so I'm applying for Social Security. I was diagnosed at the age of 43 but suspect I had this disease earlier. I had eating issues in college so something wasn't right. I never got treatment at that time. I think everyone was in denial including me, especially me. I would be homeless if it weren't for my boyfriend and his family. I have been hospitalized several times. Each time I meet others with the same type of problems and it helps to support each other. Sometimes I get afraid because I don't know what the future holds. But. I do have a beautiful daughter and she motivates me more than anything to stay stable. It's not always easy but it's worth it to fight for my life and happiness.
