2009 NAMI National Convention Coverage

2009 NAMI National Convention Coverage

Creating a Healthy Future for Us All

Day 3: July 8, 2009

Day three of the NAMI National Convention was highlighted by a very special screening of The Soloist, followed by a question and answer session with author Steve Lopez and Jennifer Ayers Moore.

The show was stolen by a performance from Nathaniel Anthony Ayers, Jr., upon whom the book and motion picture are based.

Below are photos and videos from the day, led off by of Ayers' speech after receiving the Rona and Ken Purdy Award and his moving violin performance.
