Participate in a Survey about Bipolar Disorder and Substance Abuse

Individuals with bipolar disorder often use drugs and/or alcohol.  This often complicates the symptoms of and treatments for bipolar disorder and can have a profound impact on a person's life.  Clinical research at the University of California-Los Angeles is trying to better understand when and why this happens.  If you have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and are interested in participating in this study, visit www.npi.ucla.edu/uclamdrp/BipolarSurvey.htm. Your responses to this survey will remain confidential.  Thank you for your help in trying to better understand and possibly treat this comorbidity.

If you have any additional questions about this study, contact:

UCLA Mood Disorders Research Program
300 Medical Plaza, Room 1544
Los Angeles, California, 90095
ATTN: Dr. Mark Frye.
