 Lynn Borton

Lynn Borton is the Chief Operating Officer at NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. In her role at NAMI, Ms. Borton oversees program planning and development including oversight of NAMI’s strategic planning and governance processes, where she has emphasized inclusive and interactive approaches as well as the development of NAMI’s standards of excellence.
 
Prior to joining NAMI in 1985, Ms. Borton was employed at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center in Boston, where she served on the staff of the Fenwood Inn. Ms. Borton has received numerous distinctions, including recognition for her leadership when an affiliated half-way house was destroyed by fire and its residents were folded into the already-crowded Inn.

Ms. Borton graduated cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from Yale University.
