NAMI Consumer Council Member at Large: Rose Marie Delaney
I became a member of NAMI in 2002 and by going to the meetings I quickly became a volunteer. As I started into Recovery I realized how important education was so I attended every educational program they offered and soon became trained in all of them. This is when my leadership role took off and led into my role in Advocacy. I am a Certified Peer Specialist, Trainer in all Peer Programs and also Provider Ed.. I am on the Executive Committee of both our State Consumer Council and National. I am a member of State of Florida Mental Health Planning Council, Florida Peer Network and Board member of NAMI Wakulla. My volunteering with NAMI led me back to employment and I now work for the State Office.
