NAMI Basics 02/28/1504/11/15

7-week course, Saturdays mornings 9:00 - 11:30 am. Participants should plan to attend all 7 weeks. This free class is for parents (and primary caregivers) of school-age children/adolescents with mental health challenges. (See NAMI Family-to-Family class for relatives of ADULTS with mental health challenges.) PLEASE NOTE: There will be NO Basics class offered in Hunterdon County this fall. Interested parents should consider attending this Somerset County class.

NAMI Family-to-Family 02/26/1505/14/15

12-week class Thursday evenings, 7:00 - 9:30 pm. Participants should plan to attend all 12 sessions. This free class is for relatives of an ADULT with mental health challenges. (See NAMI Basics class for parents of school-age children with mental health challenges.)

NAMI Family Support Group 02/26/14Ongoing

Meets: 4th Wednesday/month, 6:30 - 8:30pm (Aug - May, no meeting in Dec). This is a SKILLS-building group for adults who want to help challenging children. Based on the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) model articulated in the book "Treating Explosive Kids" by Ross Greene PhD and J Stuart Ablon PhD. Alicia is a certified mentor in the model via ThinkKids/Massachusetts General Hospital (but is not affiliated with ThinkKids or MGH). She receives ongoing supervision on the model and has done over 300 workshops in the U.S.
