NAMI Louisiana is seeking an energetic, committed individual to fill the position of Executive Director. The executive director will report to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall management of the organization.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: fiscal management and resource development, community and public relations, program planning and implementation, employee management, liaison to the Board of Directors and local affiliates, and monitoring and reporting on the Louisiana legislation and mental health care system.
The qualified applicant will have a minimum education of a bachelor's degree in social services, business administration, or public administration. Also required is a minimum of three years related experience in administration or supervision of a volunteer, nonprofit, or public service program or agency. Applicants should also possess strong skills and success in resource development and maintenance, public relations, grant writing, and be familiar with health care issues, families in crisis, and other social service issues.
